“Having a good neighbor is a blessing. The absence of a good neighbor is depressing.” – Bill Popp, Popp Communications

On May 26, 2016, Senior Community Services Medicare Counselor Volunteer, David Delzer, was inducted into the WCCO Popp Communications Good Neighbor Hall of Fame. David Delzer has been volunteering with Senior Community Services since 2005. He is a Medicare Health Insurance Counselor. David meets face to face with people at different community centers and offers assistance with the many choices that accompany Medicare. He also assists the volunteer presenters who teach our Navigating Medicare Classes in the community. David is always willing to help in any way possible. When asked to fill in for someone, often at the last minute, he always makes it work.

Senior Community Services Medicare Director, Dawn Lund, nominated David for this award. When asked why she chose to nominate David, Dawn had this to say, “I nominated David because he is an incredible volunteer! He is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and pays attention to  details. I wanted him to know how much he is appreciated by Senior Community Services. Without volunteers like you, it would not be possible to offer Medicare Health Insurance Counseling. Thank you David for giving us your time and talents to assist seniors, and their caregivers in navigating their Medicare options. You are an asset to our volunteer team and to Senior Community Services.”
