SCS is an organization that relies heavily on volunteers to augment the professional staff. Last year alone, we engaged thousands of amazing volunteers to assist seniors and support their caregivers.Volunteers are usually matched with clients in their own communities, which include all of the western Metropolitan communities. We attempt to match volunteers with persons who have similar interests. This careful matching results in a large number of volunteers who have contributed time with clients for many years; they become like family to the clients. There are many volunteer opportunities at Senior Centers.
