The need continues to grow

According to the Minnesota Board on Aging, by 2030, the number of Minnesotans aged 60 and older will be nearly 1.6 million. That’s about 26% of the state’s population.* This makes the services we provide more important than ever.

We continue to address the changing needs of older adults and those who care for them.

Founded in 1950 as Suburban Recreation Association, Senior Community Services adopted its current name and focus on older adults in 1981.

Today, the agency has become one of Minnesota’s top nonprofits in the field of aging. We provide various programs and services in many communities in Carver, Hennepin, Scott, Sherburne and Wright counties.

Learn about the mission, vision and values that guide our team, our Board, and our community partners. As a nonprofit organization, it’s important to share how we fund the work we do and the impact it has on the communities we serve.

Our dedicated staff and volunteers offer affordable services to Minnesotans age 60+, regardless of income. This helps them remain in the homes and communities they love.

We’re proud to have board members with vast experience across multiple industries. This provides a variety of perspectives that help drive our mission.

We rely on community partners to help raise awareness, funding and support for available programs.

As a community-based organization, we believe it’s important to raise awareness of the challenges older adults and their caregivers face and how it may impact the broader community.
