HOME Program Coordinator Job Description

JOB TITLE:  Program Coordinator for Household and Outside Maintenance (HOME)

REPORTS TO:  Director of HOME

FUNCTION:  Coordinate HOME services to support the mission and vision of Senior Community Services (SCS)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Serve as primary coordinator for the minor repair and housekeeping services
  • Answer phone inquiries, complete intake for new clients, schedule work requests for clients and follow up on job completion
  • Recruit, hire and monitor performance of field staff
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with field staff
  • Maintain worker files and timesheets, and prepare payroll documents for independent contractors and employees
  • Schedule and/or assign employees to complete jobs for clients
  • Data entry of client data, job tickets, and jobs completed.  Compile accurate statistical and demographic information for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.  Maintain client files
  • Conduct client home visits for housekeeping service
  • Attend meetings as needed
  • Give presentations on the HOME program on occasion
  • Work with volunteers in the office and in the field
  • Other duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for the mission and vision of SCS
  • Experience working with older adults
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to recruit and hire new field staff as needed
  • Appointment scheduling skills (between workers and clients)
  • Able to work in a collaborative setting in our Minnetonka office
  • Self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and make decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written communication
  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Ability to learn online databases
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to be flexible in approach and schedule
  • Ability to be calm and compassionate in working with the elderly and their caregivers both in-person and over the phone.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile available, local travel will be required
  • Four year degree in related field strongly preferred
  • Must be able pass reference and background check

SALARY RANGE AND HOURS:

 Position is based on 40 hours per week

 Salary based on experience, generous benefit package offered

Salary range: $36,000 to $40,000 annually
