Every spring, we get hundreds of requests from old Every spring, we get hundreds of requests from older adults who need help with weeding, gardening, and other seasonal yard work. They might even live right around the block from you... 👀 We need to mobilize hundreds of volunteers to meet this need throughout the spring and summer. Can you get a group together and spend a few hours helping a neighbor? We make it easy:
1. Pick your date (mid-May or later), time, and location
2. One person signs your group up online
3. We connect you with a senior in your location who requested assistance Older adults are counting on their communities to step up so they can continue living in their own homes. Will you join us? Sign up at the link in our bio.
Caregiving is more than helping with ADLs. Family Caregiving is more than helping with ADLs. Family and friends may not think of themselves as a caregiver, especially if they've taken on responsibilities gradually over time. But even those "litcafestle" or occasional tasks that might feel hands-off count as caregiving. Wherever you're at on your caregiving journey, you're always welcome at our support groups and memory . Find all the locations on our website: seniorcommunity.org/caregiversupportgroups/
