Designed for those with memory loss and their caregivers, join a meeting to take part in engaging musical activities and get support from a licensed social worker. Paul lives in Alaska. When his father, who lives in Richfield, was diagnosed with dementia, he wanted to find a way to support his mother, who became the primary caregiver. He connected them with Senior Community Services social worker Carol, who has been working with them since. “She has become an essential part of their caregiving team and a testament to the quality of your organization.” Our Senior Outreach services helped 1,001 people like Paul’s parents last year. TECH Services help older adults access and use technology in ways that enhance their independence and quality of life. TECH reached 2,883 older adults through 16 different tech clinics as well as in-home appointments and educational presentations. When she passed away, I decided to sign up myself because it’s affordable, everyone does great work, and I’m grateful to have the help.” We’re trying to raise $40,000 by the end of the year to keep families, like Sandie and Skip, in their homes and communities. Your donation in action: Household and Outdoor Maintenance (HOME)! The HOME Program provides a variety of chore services for older adults in three counties. In 2023, HOME served 2,005 seniors (including 1:1 TECH services). 2024 gave us some inspirational stories like Arlene donating tools to our volunteer handymen like Vince, @breck_school's annual Rake a Difference Day volunteer event, and MN Trades Academy partnering with us to paint a client’s entire house and garage exterior.
