We welcome groups of all ages and types!
Because most of our opportunities are best suited for group of 4 – 6 people, larger groups may be asked to split up into smaller teams and assigned to multiple locations near one another to help us serve as many seniors as possible. Youth ages 7 and older may participate with adult supervision.

Opportunities
Yard clean-up and raking are available each spring and fall. Special project opportunities like painting, garden prep/weeding, and other outdoor chores and maintenance may also be scheduled as needed. If you have a special skill set, let us know!

Scheduling
You pick a date, time (2 hours minimum), and preferred location, and we’ll schedule your opportunity with an older adult near you who is available. Our greatest need for volunteers is often in the beautiful and historic residential neighborhoods of Minneapolis and the northern suburbs! If you’re flexible with location and would consider helping in a community with a greater need for volunteers, let us know.

These groups love our volunteer opportunities!
Schools (elementary to college/university level) and home school groups
Neighborhood associations and public services (police, fire, city council members, etc.)
Lions and Rotary Clubs; American Legion Posts
Faith communities
Sororities and fraternities

If your group is a youth oriented group (i.e. Scout troop, youth group, elementary or middle school class, etc), please provide an age range

PLEASE NOTE: Youth volunteers must be age 7 or older and anyone under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All volunteers under age 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a Youth Volunteer Waiver.

    Keeping Seniors at Home

95% of those using our HOME Program say that the service, including support from volunteers, helped them stay in their homes longer.

    On Your Own Time

Coordinating your group’s calendars can be hard. That’s why we work around your schedule, not the other way around.
