Caregiving is more than helping with ADLs. Family Caregiving is more than helping with ADLs. Family and friends may not think of themselves as a caregiver, especially if they've taken on responsibilities gradually over time. But even those "litcafestle" or occasional tasks that might feel hands-off count as caregiving. Wherever you're at on your caregiving journey, you're always welcome at our support groups and memory . Find all the locations on our website: seniorcommunity.org/caregiversupportgroups/

At the heart of Senior Community Services’ mission At the heart of Senior Community Services’ mission is that everyone deserves to have the support they need to grow older in their homes and communities of choice. Minnesota is home to people of many backgrounds, including immigrants who have chosen to call Minnesota that place. They are our close and cherished friends, neighbors, volunteers, family, and colleagues. That is why we join numerous state and local leaders in reiterating our support for the immigrant community and a peaceful resolution to the current situation. We share in the fear, panic disruption, and grief that so many others are feeling. Compassion and Community are two of our core values, which is why we’re heartened to see the spirit of people helping people – checking in on one another, supporting local businesses, and ensuring the needs of our community is met – is in full force even during one of the coldest winters in years. For those seeking information on available community resources or service opportunities, this resource from the MN Council of Nonprofits it a great place to start: https://minnesotanonprofits.org/community-resources-ice-operations.
