As an organization with a mission to empower people as they age, we recognize the critical role that caregiving family and friends play in supporting older adults in our communities. Support groups offer a safe place for caregivers to learn from one another by sharing experiences, challenges, coping strategies, and humor.

Groups are facilitated by professional licensed Social Workers and open to those caring for an older adult or someone with a cognitive diagnosis; the caregiver or care receiver must reside in our service area which includes Carver, Hennepin, Scott, Sherburne, and Wright Counties.

A minimum participant cost-share contribution of $5.00 per meeting is encouraged but not required. Call 612-770-7005 with questions or to register.

What happens at a memory cafe?

Memory cafes offer respite and support at the same time for caregivers of those with memory loss. A creative activity is run by volunteers at the same time as a caregiver support group. Caregivers may choose to join their loved one in the activity or join the caregiver support group.
