JOB TITLE: HOME Program Administrative Specialist
REPORTS TO: Director of the HOME Program

With this in mind, we are hiring an administrative specialist for our HOME (Household & Outdoor Maintenance) Program to help support the mission and vision of Senior Community Services (SCS)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Answer phones, record phone messages and return phone calls as needed
• Assist with incoming and outgoing calls to update client records
• Send out new client intake paperwork, process upon its return and place welcome calls to new clients
• Assist with filing and maintaining accurate records
• Run client bills monthly
• Assist with (MSHO) insurance billing as needed
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reports
• Help with bi-weekly payroll data entry as needed
• Open and sort HOME program mail
• Assist with bulk mailings
Work with and supervise office volunteers
• Gain familiarity with other SCS programs to cross promote
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Passion for the mission of Senior Community Services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community (answering phones, greeting clients, etc.)
• Strong customer service background
• Ability to work at a variety of tasks with strong attention to detail
• Associate degree in related field preferred
• Self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Excellent communication skills especially over the phone
• Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to learn in-house database quickly
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient at typing and data entry
• Calm and compassionate in working with the elderly
SALARY RANGE AND HOURS:
• Position is based on 40 hours per week
• Salary range: $36,000-$39,000 based on experience
• We offer a generous benefit package and the flexibility to do some work remotely

• Mow lawn every 7-10 days
• Complete basic trimming as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 16 years old
• Must be physically able to do the work (lift 20+ pounds, bend, stretch, etc.)
• In most cases, supply and transport your own lawn mower and weed trimmer
• Have reliable personal transportation
• Able to consent to and pass a criminal background check
• Able to complete required paperwork for time tracking and work completed
• Able to effectively communicate with participants and SCS staff in person or by phone
• Able to communicate via email
• Able to commit to the entire season, weather dependent

• Remove snow within 24 hours of snowfall ending
• Salting/clearing ice as needed to support safety
BENEFITS:
• Earn $20 per hour

• We’ll help you get started with participants
• You set your hours with them dependent on snowfall
REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 16 years old
• Must be physically able to do the work (lift 20+ pounds, bend, stretch, etc.)
• In most cases, supply and transport your own shovel and/or snow blower
• Have reliable personal transportation
• Able to consent to and pass a criminal background check
• Able to complete required paperwork for time tracking and work completed
• Able to effectively communicate with participants and SCS staff in person or by phone
• Able to effectively communicate via email
• Able to commit to the entire season, weather dependent
