Updated 8/22/2023:
School is back in session. Along with yellow school busses, bright red apples, mums, and pumpkins, the leaves are beginning to turn.

Fall has arrived and it’s a great time to get outside to volunteer for fall raking with the HOME Program!

Those fall leaves look so spectacular, but they are a huge concern for many older adults. Raking is a big project for one or two people, especially for those with mobility or vision limitations.

So grab your friends, family, faith community, or work team! Fall raking is loads of fun and a great way to spend time together. Youth ages 7 to 15 may volunteer with an adult. Ages 16 and older may volunteer on their own.

We schedule fall raking 7 days a week from mid-October through the end of November. You choose the day and time that works best for your group (during daylight hours!)

Volunteering with the HOME Program is a great way to get outside before the snow flies and it’s a great way to help someone in our community. Visit seniorcommunity.org/volunteer to learn more and complete an online application.
