This year we recognized Jon Burkhow (AKA our Hollywood Star) for 10 years of service and Gary Spears and Kelly Weber for 5 years. We appreciate all our staff for their dedication to older adults and caregivers -- it shows in the compassionate service they provide every day for our community!

‼️ Advocacy alert from USAging, March 3rd 2025: Urge Your Lawmakers to Protect and Fund Critical Older Americans Act (OAA) Programs (https://bit.ly/4bGIdYl) As federal lawmakers continue work on a budget agreement, NOW is the time to voice your support for the Older Americans Act, which provides funding for critical services for millions of people nationwide. This includes funding, in part, for our own HOME Program and Caregiver Services, which empowered over 2500 Minnesotan older adults and caregivers last year. Reauthorizing the OAA will create stronger communities for all of us as we get older. We are in search of speakers on topics related to artificial intelligence, fraud and scams, and more.

Current HOME Program Coordinator and former presch

Current HOME Program Coordinator and former preschool teacher Jessica Ellanson has gone from working with 4-year-olds to 84-year-olds. This week, she brought them together by asking her former school, Fridley Preschool, if the students could make Valentine's Day cards for our program participants. Now we get to send out 115 cards to our HOME clients 💘
